SMILEY FACE SPHERICAL WATER TOWER IN HO AND N SCALE. The Smiley Face Water Tower is thought to have first appeared in Calumet City, Illinois in 1973. A quick search of the Internet will show they are now all over America. Molded in a bright Yellow color, These kits are the perfect size for most layouts. Realistic details include an entry door, and mounting nuts around the base flange. A special decal set includes a large Smiling Face, additional door details, a window and a No Trespassing sign. Designed for easy assembly, complete instructions are included. For HO scale the base diameter is approx. 3", the largest diameter of the sphere is approx. 4", and the over all height is 9 ¾" (Approx. 70 H.O. Scale feet). For N scale the base diameter is approx. 1 1/2", the largest diameter of the sphere is approx. 2 1/8", and the over all height is 5 3/8" (Approx. 71 N Scale feet). Kits are available with Flashing Red LED’s. The Flashing Red LED comes Fully Assembled with a super compact full wave Bridge Rectifier, a capacitor, and a dropping resistor, all shrink tubed and ready to use with 14" of insulated wire. This means you can connect these LED’s to any track power source: AC DC or DCC. They will work with 7-19 Volts of Power, or a 9V or 12V battery. The HO scale LED is 5mm diameter and the N scale LED is 3mm diameter. Flashing LED’s are also sold separately. The kits are easy to assemble with clear instructions. Only basic modeling skills are needed for assembly. Intended for ages 14 and up. |
